I'M Rodger ferris!

I love to paint. Painting is fun. I paint people and things that interest me, and appeal to my sense of humor. Creating artwork is rewarding and therapeutic. My paintings are a reflection of what inspires me. Music, film, nature, sports, design and color are common themes.

I graduated from Art Center College of Design with a BFA in Illustration. I have done freelance work for Nirvana “In Utero” and the Eagles “Hell Freezes Over”. For years I’ve worked in the video game industry and in aerospace. I’ve decided to close that chapter and pursue my lifelong passion of painting.

Currently I’m focusing on portraits, nature scenes, and still life. I live and work in Southern California with my wife, kids, 2 dogs, and 18 parakeets.
